OST to Exhibit at 2007 DHS Security Conference

August 22, 2007 - Optimal Solutions & Technologies (OST, Inc.) is one of only seven DHS EAGLE FC4 Small Businesses invited to exhibit at the DHS Security Conference and Workshop, to be held August 27–30 in Baltimore, Maryland, at the Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel and Hyatt Regency Hotel. The theme for this year's event is "Keys to Securing the Homeland." This year the conference will feature an exposition limited to EAGLE and FIRST SOURCE contractors and their subcontractors.

The conference is expected to draw over 700 IT planning managers and security practitioners such as Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO), System Security Officers (SSO), Designated Accrediting Authorities (DAA), Information Systems Security Managers (ISSM), and system/network administrators, as well as Physical and Personnel Security Managers, State & Local Security Managers, Special Security Officers, and personnel from throughout the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) component organizations.

May 4, 2007 - Optimal Solutions and Technologies (OST, Inc.), a CMMI Level 3 externally appraised information technology services provider, announced that the company has been awarded a contract with the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Aircraft Certification Service (AIR) organization located in Fort Worth, TX , for software design and development services.

The AIR organization is responsible for developing, administering and ensuring compliance to standards governing the design, production, airworthiness, and continued operational safety of civil aircraft and related components. In order to provide continued operational safety, AIR needs an integrated source of safety and compliance information and processes organized for easy, quick access, anytime, anyplace. UI 's International Activities, Education, and Tax Policy centers are in need of SharePoint Server 2007 to help facilitate communications within their respective groups. SharePoint will allow then to review and approve documents, coordinate travel requests and approvals, and set in motion events necessary for travel. OST's approach will include a discovery phase, design and development, and test and verification, as well as training, documentation, and follow-up services. March 22, 2007 - Optimal Solutions and Technologies (OST, Inc.), a CMMI Level 3 externally appraised information technology services provider, announced that the company has been awarded an engineering support contract from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). OST will assist in planning and managing the radio spectrum used by FAA National Airspace System (NAS) equipment providing Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) products and services to aviation. FAA's Office of Spectrum Engineering Services coordinates with national and international government agencies and operates the Automated Frequency Management (AFM) System to plan and engineer frequencies for NAS equipment. This enterprise-engineering tool facilitates processing frequency assignments via the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) for the safe operations and service delivery of NAS spectrum engineering services and support.
