OST Re-appraised at CMMI Level 5 for Development
Washington, D.C., October 2013 – OST is proud to announce it has been re-appraised at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) Level 5 by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI). The SEI awards this rating to less than 1% of all CMMI firms. Since first earning the highest CMMI rating in 2011, OST has been using standardized best practices coupled with innovative solutions to optimize process performance.
“We have made a number of changes to our delivery approach since our initial Level 5 appraisal,” says OST Chief Operating Officer Ajay Madan. “Our approach has become truly modular, incorporating Agile practices, optimized speed, and quality work. This appraisal validates how effective these changes have been; not only across OST’s portfolio, but in how we continue to implement mature solution delivery methods for our clients every day.”
CMMI Level 5 incorporates and goes beyond the features of Levels 2, 3, and 4 – repeatable, defined, and documented processes, and management of quality though quantitative predictive measurement. At Level 5, our process performance optimizes velocity, reduces time, effort, rework, defects, and costs while improving service and quality for our federal customers.
