OST, INC. WINS CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (DOIT)

McLean, VA, March 4, 2022 – OST, Inc., a premier systems integrator of technical, administrative and management solutions, has been awarded a contract with the State of Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT) to provide software development personnel and bring agile development practices to agencies throughout the State. This new contract is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) with a three-year base and two one-year options.

“OST has been supporting the State of Maryland’s IT needs for more than a decade,” said Brian Cole, Vice President at OST. “Under this contract, OST will provide services to numerous State agencies to modernize and enhance their IT platforms and applications. From accessing driver’s license information online to registering for numerous state services to locating one of Maryland’s many state parks, OST is honored to help create a better user experience for all Marylanders.”

The State of Maryland has traditionally used a Waterfall method of developing IT systems with project work going through a series of phases. DoIT is now working to replace these Waterfall-based practices with lean-agile methods to streamline the delivery of IT services and improve overall efficiency. As one of 10 companies under this IDIQ, OST will support the State’s agile transition by providing IT personnel and expertise in the areas of project/program management, agile consulting services and systems development and implementation.
