Principal
Ajay Madan is a Principal and Board Member at OST. As the former Chief Operating Officer of the firm, he continues to play a critical role in development and execution OST’s five-year strategic plan, growth initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional value to clients.
Ajay brings extensive experience across federal, state, and local government sectors. He served as a senior advisor at the U.S. Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service, managing multi-billion-dollar programs, and implementing new financial technology (FinTech). He later led initiatives at the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program and became the first Deputy CIO for the D.C. Government’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer during a period of major local government restructuring. He was also a Research Fellow at the Logistics Management Institute’s Sensitive Assessment Center.
Since joining OST in 1999, Ajay has been instrumental in the company’s continued success. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Physics from SUNY Brockport.
A recognized leader in the business and civic community, Ajay served as Chair of the D.C. Chamber of Commerce from 2019 to 2021 and has been on its Executive Committee since 2012. He is also actively involved with the CEO Boardroom, the Association for Corporate Growth, the Association of the U.S. Army, and the Air Force Communications and Electronics Association. His leadership extends to numerous advisory roles, including with the Greater Washington Board of Trade, AFFIRM, AFP, and AGA.
