Washington, D.C., June 2016 – The Federal Transit Administration (FTA), one of the eleven Operating Administrations (OAs) or bureaus within the U.S. Department of Transportation, awarded Optimal Solutions & Technologies (OST) a five year contract to provide Web Application and Infrastructure services. The FTA provides financial and technical assistance to local public transit systems, including buses, subways, light rail, commuter rail, trolleys, and ferries. It also oversees safety measures and helps develop next-generation research technologies. The contract is valued at just under $15M./p>
OST will provide web application development, legacy application maintenance, IT infrastructure management, IT security management, and help desk support services. These services help support the FTA perform its mission of providing leadership, technical assistance and financial resources for safe, technologically advanced public transportation, which will enhance all citizen’s mobility and accessibility, as well as, improve communities in America and the natural environment, and strengthen the national economy.
