Washington, D.C., June 2018 – OST, Inc. (Optimal Solutions & Technologies) is part of a team to provide Smart Lighting and other Smart Technology solutions for the City of Grenada, Mississippi. 
Under this program, OST will work with the City of Grenada to determine the feasibility of purchasing more energy efficient lighting solutions. This includes a detailed review of the city’s streetlights, interior and exterior lighting systems, and traffic lights will be conducted to determine the feasibility of purchasing more energy efficient lighting solutions, ways to reduce costs, and optimize use of resources.
As a part of our analysis, we will identify the potential maintenance and utility savings for the city through the use of Smart LED lighting and the Internet of Things (IoT). We will also identify the use of smart technology programs in the areas of environmental sustainability, operational excellence and public safety. These areas include solutions like waste management, smart pole, intelligent traffic management, CCTV/video analytics, smart parking, and public safety.
Through the implementation of some of these smart technologies, the City of Grenada will reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint, gain visibility into citywide operations, and provide a secured platform for better public and personnel safety.
