McLean, VA, April 19, 2022 – Azmeena Sayeed, Business Analyst with OST, Inc., spoke at the 22nd Integrated Communications, Navigation and Surveillance Systems (ICNS) Conference.
Her presentation, titled ‘A Holistic Approach to Surveillance and Situational Awareness’, discussed the need to protect our nation’s airports, airbases, and related airspaces from attacks using robust perimeter security systems to prevent unwanted intrusion. She introduced an integrated perimeter security system which consists of a series of dynamic and static sensors tied together in a highly secure Internet of Things (IoT) platform that can be used to identify anomalous data and alert security staff of detected threats in real time.
Azmeena’s session also outlined ways that predictive analytics can be used to solve complex problems by evaluating past and current performance to predict potential problems. She discussed how cloud computing and other proprietary tools can be used to capture, manage, and analyze immense amounts of big data while Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) algorithms evaluate this data and create effective situational models.
The 22nd Integrated Communications, Navigation and Surveillance Systems (ICNS) Conference was held at the Westin Washington Dulles Airport in Herndon, VA on April 5-7, 2022.
