Washington, D.C., November 2017 – Optimal Solutions and Technologies (OST) sponsored the 2017 Technology Policy Forum, Cybersecurity Awareness – A Business Necessity, hosted by the DC Chamber of Commerce.
Diana L. Burley, Ph.D. was the keynote speaker for the forum, held on November 30, 2017 from 11:30am – 1:45pm. She is the Executive Director & Chair for the Institute for Information Infrastructure Protection (I3P) and a Professor of Human and Organizational Learning at The George Washington University.
The forum discussed how businesses can guard themselves against computer network threats, the importance of training staff in cybersecurity, and the cybersecurity risk as an important component to corporate governance and enterprise risk management. The forum also provided insight on unique challenges and solutions for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
